Department on Disability will not be Eliminated!

Here is a copy of the email that went around informing the community of the great news!  The years of fighting have come to an end. 

"As a result of your support for the continuation of the Department on Disability, the Department will not be eliminated as was proposed by the powers that be.

Your objections to this vital resource being weakened by the short-sightedness of some City Officials, only underscores the need for the disability community and its public and private sector supporters, to continue working together to assure that people with disabilities participate in every aspect of community life. We should congratulate ourselves on championing the right of people living with disabilities to be included in every aspect of life!!"
