We are working on disaster preparedness plans for the disabled community of Los Angeles
Our city has no plan to help the disabled in Los Angeles in case of a disaster. Commissioners and close advisors to the commission are working on a plan. We will post it here when it is ready!

Department on Disability will not be Eliminated!
Here is a copy of the email that went around informing the community of the great news! The years of fighting have come to an end.
"As a result of your support for the continuation of the Department on Disability, the Department will not be eliminated as was proposed by the powers that be.
Your objections to this vital resource being weakened by the short-sightedness of some City Officials, only underscores the need for the disability community and its public and private sector supporters, to continue working together to assure that people with disabilities participate in every aspect of community life. We should congratulate ourselves on championing the right of people living with disabilities to be included in every aspect of life!!"
